Discover Utah’s premier mountain bike series, where every rider can find their perfect challenge—whether it’s fast-flowing singletrack, rugged technical terrain, or high-altitude alpine climbs.

The Intermountain Cup Racing Series (ICUP) is Utah’s premier mountain bike race series, bringing together riders of all abilities to test themselves on some of the most diverse and rewarding trails in the West. From smooth desert singletrack to rugged rock gardens and high-alpine climbs, ICUP offers a true cross-section of what mountain biking in Utah is all about. Whether you’re lining up for your first race or chasing podiums, there’s a course—and a challenge—waiting for you.

To help racers find the events that best match their riding style, we group our XC races into three experience categories: Flow State, Rock & Grit, and Peak Pursuit. Each one highlights a different flavor of terrain and racing, but all share the same ICUP commitment to well-marked courses, great vibes, and an unforgettable race-day experience.

Flow State: Fast, Fun, and Addictive

If speed, rhythm, and flowing trails get you fired up, the Flow State races are a perfect entry point into the series. The Cactus Hugger (April 25, 2026 – St. George) delivers smooth desert singletrack with playful turns and steady momentum—ideal for newer racers and veterans alike who love to go fast. Later in the season, Fast Times in Richfield (June 13, 2026) brings that same energy to central Utah with high-desert trails that reward fitness, pacing, and smooth riding. These races are approachable, exciting, and a blast from start to finish.

Rock & Grit: Technical, Challenging, and Rewarding

For riders who thrive on technical terrain and varied challenges, the Rock & Grit races bring the heat. The 2026 season now kicks off earlier than ever with the return of Desert Canyon Revival (February 28, 2026 – St. George), a fast and technical course featuring rock gardens, punchy climbs, and classic desert racing vibes. One month later, the Red Rock Rampage (March 28, 2026 – St. George) pushes riders onto iconic slickrock with demanding climbs, rocky descents, and big views. The Three Peaks (May 16, 2026 – Cedar City) rounds out this category with granite outcroppings, tight singletrack, and constant changes in terrain that reward strong bike handling and smart racing.

Peak Pursuit: Big Climbs and High-Mountain Adventure

If your idea of a perfect race includes alpine forests, sustained climbs, and cool mountain air, the Peak Pursuit races are calling. New for 2026, Alpine Rush at Beaver Mountain (July 18, 2026 – Northern Utah) delivers a true high-alpine experience with technical sections, fast forested singletrack, and rewarding elevation gain. Later in the summer, the Season Finale takes place at the legendary Rage at Snowbird (August 8, 2026). This is one of the most challenging courses in the series—steep ascents, demanding trails, and jaw-dropping scenery that define mountain bike racing in Utah.

One Series. Endless Reasons to Race.

No matter which events you choose, ICUP races are built for riders—from beginners discovering their first start line to pros pushing their limits. Expect a welcoming community, passionate volunteers, thoughtfully designed courses, and an atmosphere that celebrates effort, adventure, and growth. Whether you’re chasing speed, embracing the grit, or reaching for the peaks, your 2026 ICUP season starts here.

Mark your calendar, choose your races, and get ready to be part of something special. The trails are calling.
