15" (S) Scott Scale 70 - Bryn Bingham's bike - $750 obo

I built this bike from the ground up for my son. Most of the mountain bikes available for kids are glorified sidewalk bikes with inadequate gearing for dirt and suspension that doesn't work for lighter riders. Everything was pieced together to keep it light and functional for kids. Retail this bike would be $2,500 - $3,000.
Something else to factor into the mix is that 26" hardtails are becoming harder and harder to find. Those that remain in the retail market are super heavy with lower end parts, not exactly kid friendly. Kids moving up from 24" wheels have few good options because it is a quite a jump to the common 29ers from a 24" bike.
I'm including a virtually new set of Schwalbe cycle cross tires. This bike makes a great beginner cross bike with these tires. It is easier to control and shift than a cross bike with drop bars. These tires run $35 each.
